web and graphics design and web site promotion, but why spend days, weeks – even months – learning how when we can
get you up and running fast? We end up doing the maintenance on most of the sites we design, but some clients ask us
take the initial steps and then keep it updated themselves. We recommend purchasing a copy of FrontPage 2002 from
Microsoft if you want to take over the maintenance of your site yourself.

Sky Valley Web Design is located on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada. Although we
target web design clients right on Salt Spring Island, we are happy to also handle requests from Whistler, Squamish,
Victoria, Duncan and Nanaimo, Vancouver, and the rest of BC. We also have clients in the USA.
Web Site Design…
Your web site must clearly convey who you are and what you do. It should load quickly, be well laid
out, and easy to navigate. There are many traps to fall into but we bring years of experience with us
Domain Name…
You should have your own domain name – one that reflects your company name, or is easy to remember.
Having a sub-domain just doesn't really cut it. We can register your .COM, .NET, .ORG
domain name for you. Registration for a .CA domain name
is $29.95 CAD or even less for multi-year registrations.
Hosting…
Once your site has been designed, fine tuned, and made "search engine ready," we can host it at
Internet-BC. Packages available for the smallest business to the largest fortune 500
company. Your web site will be working for you and available to your customers 24 hours a day. Your competition is
already on the web. You should be there too. Did you notice that this site loads FAST? It's not surprising as it is
also hosted at Internet-BC.
Site Promotion…
Once we have put your business on the web, we make sure
people can find it. Good design is essential to get a favourable ranking
with search engines. It is also essential for those directories that require
the approval of a real person before your site gets listed. With the site
"search engine ready" we can also submit your site to the major search
engines. Site promotion should be an ongoing process to maintain a good
ranking with the major search engines, so search engine submission shouldn't
be a "one time only" event.
What We Charge…
Our rates are $45 CAD per hour for all web and graphics design or
search engine optimization. That's about $36 US. See Internet-BC for hosting charges -
